Puppets Tree has worked with Indian start-up Ampio Surfaces on its first collection of high-end oven-to-table surfaces. Handcrafted in Western India, and perfectly expressing the best aspects of informal French looks and culture, Puppets Tree was designed website and the accompanying brand identity.
The brainchild of entrepreneur Neal Thakkar, Ampio Surfaces makes professional standards surface which is a statement in itself. Aimed at a younger demographic who are completely comfortable manufacturing offline, Ampio Surfaces is designed to bring people together through their website and fine craftsmanship.

With budget concerns over quality materials, it was also imperative that the range was manufactured using non-toxic materials.

SYNERGISTIC BLEND
In today’s society, commerce and brand connection are equally important. For the best possible shopping journey, we combined a friendly design system with a frictionless path to purchase. And with engaging content we attracted new customers, while bringing existing customers closer to the brand through storytelling and collaborations.
The design team worked hard to ensure that the website is easy to use, with carefully thought-out details that are both practical and attractive. While the overall appearance is minimal and sleek, some traditional French details were added.
The brand identity features a handcrafted serif word marque with a ligature and upturned accent, giving a feeling of lightness and ‘joi de vivre’. This is combined with a strapline which reinforces the brand’s provenance and traditional roots.
